integration site : drupal and .net application
This project was for a company that creates greetings cards.
The company had a .net application that it was used to create the personalized cards. For ease of administration, they wanted to have some of the pages created in Drupal.
For this project I worked alone.
I had to create the Drupal site, using Drupal 7 core, and integrate it with the .net application. For this I had to create a custom module and work with the rest service results so that I can add them as content blocks into Drupal. I also had to create several custom modules to overwrite some Drupal normal functionalities.
Depending on the device used, I had to create different homepages, with different content and templates.
Mostly all of the link goes to the .net application but there are also a few drupal pages. The listing of the categories and products came from the rest api.
I had to work with iframes and cross domain scripts.
I was involved in weekly scrums meetings via Skype. Also I had direct contact with the final client, in case I had questions about the way they will like specific tasks implemented
The QA was done by the client.
The original site was http://www.hallmark.nl/ , but since 2013 it had changed a lot.
