First governamental site
The main idea of this project was to create an online system for a county (a governmental site).
For the not logged in user, the site was a simple presentation. But once the user logged in, more options appear on site, like profiles, jobs for users, events, coaches and trainers. There was also a blog section, where a user could get into a group, public or private (needs approval), could post topics and comments. It also integrated social sites like twitter and facebook. The site also gaved the option to subscribe to jobs list, events and internships lists or to a newsletter. One could search users by profile fields like name, surname, account name, town, job, etc., and there was a live feed of things that users did.
For this project I worked together with another Drupal Developer and a Frontend Developer.
I worked on a list of tasks from Jira, based on the requirements. I had to integrate part of the theme, and add additional changes to make it like the original theme.
The site was created using Drupal 6.
I had to create custom module to override the default functionality of Drupal modules and themes. The social integration with Facebook and Twitter was also done by me.
I used slideshow for profiles images and also for frontpage, custom search and search by multiple fields values. For the search, the client requested ApacheSOLR, so I had to configurate the connection and also to create custom facets.
With the help of forms, a user could subscribe to different newsletters and lists. I had to create custom rules triggers, custom rules actions. I also had to configure cron.
I was involved in weekly scrums meetings via Skype. Also I had direct contact with the final client, in case I had questions about the way they will like specific tasks implemented.
The image in the bottom left is the preview of the events page. As you can see it has a calendar where you can select a date and view the events on that date. Also there is a search option( by town, word, etc).
The image in the top-right is for user profile, where the information is divided into tabs, there is also a "tag cloud", and latest updates.
The image in the bottom right is for the profiles list. In the right top you can see the custom facets, and in the right bottom you can see the live feed from the site.
